An early 1970's beach house located just above high tide level in Nefyn has been a remarkable summer home for the same family until it was demolished in 2024. This has allowed a significant ground works contract to be carried out, involving significant cliff stabilisation works, a new sea defence wall, two sheet piled retaining walls and five pre cast concrete flights of steps to link the beach to the cliff top footpath. Once the groundworks have been completed work will start on Morlais, the new beach house which includes a large boat store and will allow the family to enjoy the wonderful seaside environment for many years to come. The design is a contemporary solution with the main living spaces on the upper floor to maximise the fabulous views. It will comprise a local natural stone base, charred timber cladding and a zinc roof with significant fenestration.
